With their new album "Not systemrelevant", the Berlin music satirical duo Plückhahn & Vogel spans a wide arc. The spectrum ranges from the disappearance of the Berlin Wall and idiocy in virtual space to the increasing number of places where the nerve of the times is on edge. The corona crisis has its place here, as does climate change, the spread of egomania and the unfortunate bark beetle (biodiversity or not) as a collective enemy. With one small exception, all the songs on this album were written by singer Dietrich Plückhahn. With his distinctive voice and Daniel Vogel's virtuoso piano playing, this CD is a highlight for all friends of sophisticated satirical songs. The drums used in some songs (Andi Bühler) and the cleverly placed arrangements also contribute to an extremely varied and always stylish sound.
